Summary: In the Amazon, Dr. Jose Rivera, the South American representative of the World Council of Scientists, is held for ransom by Colonel Guerrero. Jake is sent to deliver the ransom, but is captured by the Colonel. As the Colonel prepares to ship off Rivera to Doc Terror, Jake escapes, and with the assistance of Ace, attempts to stop Guerrero in his tracks.

Showing an Earth hologram in Centrum, Max tells viewers that South America is the cradle of the world's largest tropical forest: The Amazon Rainforest. The Amazon River is the most impressive phenomenon, which carries much more water than any other river.
In the Amazon forest, Max explains the Amazon's moist and warm weather is an ideal environment for vegetation, which makes difficult to see sunlight through the tree tops. As he emerges from the river with the Depth Charger, Max mentions that fishes and animals are abundant there like his friend the Toucan.
Max concludes the lesson saying that some of the products that we use in our everyday life come from the Amazon. Like the wood used to make furniture and raw material for rubber.
